To all our supporters:

I offer each of you my deepest thanks for your votes, your support, your contributions, and the many many hours spent campaigning for Duman for Assembly. 

To those who haven’t seen the final numbers, we pulled 30% of the votes (nearly 10,000) in one of only three counties in Wisconsin that voted for McCain by 60+%.  That’s a great accomplishment and I congratulate you all for getting us this far. 

A very special “Thank You” to Dr Amy Otis-Wilborn for her extra-extra-extraordinary efforts on behalf of the campaign; to June Eastvold for her “above-and-beyond” support and encouragement; to Doug Cvetkovich for his friendship and invaluable support; and to Tom Lohr who supported me from day-one and spent innumerable hours campaigning. 

A special thank you, also, to the group that got this started – Kay Brogelman, Christine Culligan, June Eastvold, Amy Otis-Wilborn, Michelle Mooney, Marliss Rogers, Roslyn Warren, and Laura Weber – who inspired me to run in the first place, encouraged me every step of the way, provided extraordinary advice, contributed money and time, and worked tirelessly on behalf of the campaign.  There are many others, too (Christina and friends, members of the Ozaukee County Democrats), who have garnered my thanks and gratitude.  Thank you all! 

We didn’t unseat Gottlieb (this time), but we need to continue to work for universal health care, proper funding for public education, local green jobs, clean renewable energy, eco-municipalities, and public financing of campaigns.  With a Democratic majority now in the Assembly, we may accomplish many of these goals.  But I will be watching every Gottlieb vote, every speech he makes on the Assembly floor, every committee hearing he attends.  The next election is November 2, 2010.
